XARXES: Tecnologia i innovaci\u00f3 ciutadana en la construcci\u00f3 de xarxes socials hist\u00f2riques per a la comprensi\u00f3 del llegat demogr\u00e0fic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les fonts hist\u00f2riques de naturalesa demogr\u00e0fica permeten estudiar no nom\u00e9s el comportament demogr\u00e0fic, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 entendre i explicar millor l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 social i econ\u00f2mica del passat. L’objectiu d\u2019aquest projecte \u00e9s desenvolupar t\u00e8cniques inform\u00e0tiques per a construir xarxes socials hist\u00f2riques a partir de la vinculaci\u00f3 dels habitants registrats en els padrons i en d’altres fonts de poblaci\u00f3 de localitats ve\u00efnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utilitzant la visi\u00f3 per computador com a tecnologia facilitadora, en primer lloc s\u2019incorporaran mecanismes que permetin la contextualitzaci\u00f3 autom\u00e0tica dels continguts de les fonts originals, associant la informaci\u00f3 sem\u00e0nticament. En segon lloc, es vincularan per record linkage diferents fonts demogr\u00e0fiques per a la construcci\u00f3 de les xarxes socials del passat. Finalment, s\u2019inclour\u00e0 la participaci\u00f3 activa de la ciutadania i dels arxivers tant en l\u2019extracci\u00f3 de les dades demogr\u00e0fiques a trav\u00e9s de jocs inform\u00e0tics com en el disseny de noves experi\u00e8ncies d’usuari m\u00e9s atractives (ex. geoprojeccions en mapes interactius). D’aquesta manera es vol facilitar el consum i divulgaci\u00f3 del coneixement hist\u00f2ric d\u2019una manera gr\u00e0fica i pedag\u00f2gica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com a resultat, es convertir\u00e0 el patrimoni hist\u00f2ric demogr\u00e0fic en actiu digital, promovent una reinterpretaci\u00f3 de la hist\u00f2ria des d’una \u00f2ptica individual. Una millor comprensi\u00f3 del nostre passat servir\u00e0 per fomentar la innovaci\u00f3 present i futura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NETWORKS: Technology and citizen innovation for building historical social networks to understand the demographic past<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Population sources allow the study of the demographic behaviour as well as the understanding of the social and economic evolution of the past. The aim of this project is to develop technologies to create historical social networks thanks to the linkage of citizens registered in local census with other kind of demographic sources from neighbouring municipalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By using computer vision as enabling technology, first we will include methods to automatically incorporate contextual and semantic information to the original population sources. Second, we will use record linkage techniques to link different sources in order to construct historical social networks. Finally, we will actively incorporate the participation of the citizens and the archivists, both in the extraction of demographic information through gamification, and in the design of new user experiences (e.g. geoprojections in interactive maps). Thus, we aim to facilitate the consumption and dissemination of the historical knowledge in an illustrative and pedagogic way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the historical demographic heritage will be converted in digital assets, facilitating the rein-terpretation of the past from an individual perspective. A better understanding of our past will foster the present and future innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
